The International Housewares Association has scheduled a March 27 webinar update on recently imposed and proposed tariffs and related trade issues impacting the home and housewares industry.
Registration for the webinar, slated for March 27, 1-2 p.m. CT, is free for IHA members and retailers.
Craig Brightup and Rafe Morrissey of the International Housewares Association’s Washington D.C.-based government affairs office will provide updates and insights on the tariff schedules, products covered, exemptions and other related topics.
In addition, customs executives Taylor Cloud and William Mock from freight logistics services provider TQL Global will provide a strategic overview of the newly imposed tariffs on U.S. imports, detailing the affected sectors and illustrating the impact with real-life examples
The session also will examine a proposal to raise port-entry fees on Chinese and Chinese-made vessels.
