IHA Launches Tariff Resources Page on Housewares.org

The International Housewares Association (IHA) has launched a new webpage showcasing a wide range of resources to keep members and retailers informed and updated on tariffs and related global trade developments.

The IHA Tariff Resources page can be found on the home page of the IHA website: www.housewares.org. IHA, in recent weeks, has launched several initiatives to help the home and housewares industry navigate the constantly evolving tariff and global sourcing landscape.

“The International Housewares Association has and will continue to work on a wide range of tariff programs and resources to offer the home + housewares industry support during this challenging time,” said Derek Miller, IHA president and CEO. “IHA is actively monitoring tariff developments, and additional content will be added to the Tariff Resources webpage as it becomes available.”

The new IHA Tariff Resources page organizes content and key resources under Education, Resources, Action and Advocacy.

The Education section includes links to recordings of two recent webinars by IHA, providing updates and addressing key questions about implemented and proposed tariffs. Additional webinars are planned, according to IHA. The section also provides IHA members with a link to information on bonded warehouses, which may be used to delay customs duties until products leave such facilities.

The Resources section of the IHA Tariff Resources page highlights IHA’s recent partnership with Quickcode, an AI trade compliance tool that provides real-time tariff calculations. IHA members receive a discounted rate to use the Quickcode platform. The Resources section also includes links to TQL Global, a freight logistics solutions provider that has participated in the IHA tariff webinar program and tariff trackers by law firm ReedSmith and the Global Business Alliance.

The Advocacy and Action sections highlight an IHA campaign that enables housewares companies to reach congressional representatives about tariff concerns using the VoterVoice platform, as well as information on trade coalitions in which IHA participates, including Americans for Free Trade. Additionally, the sections provide details on IHA’s government affairs and sourcing trade mission programs.
