The Cookware and Bakeware Alliance (CBA) announced new leadership at its 102nd Spring Member Meeting in April.
The meeting brought together members from the cookware and bakeware industry and offered a platform for discussions, presentations and networking opportunities. The event also recognized past president Doug Reigle from Regal Ware and past board member Gene Karlson from Nordic Ware for their contributions to the industry.
CBA announced Mike Otterman from Lodge Cast Iron as president and Chris Bauman from Le Creuset as vice president. New board members include Nancy McHenry from Widgeteer Inc. and Mike Maguire from ILAG Coatings. Existing board members continuing for another term include Mars Mashburn from Tramontina, Phil Barberi from Meyer Corporation US and Mark Eichorn from Anchor Hocking.
The conference included a presentation on U.S. Homewares Consumer Trends by Catalina Flores of Euromonitor; a fireside chat with Mary Ann Knaus of Aquarius Group LLC discussing Amazon best practices; updates from International Housewares Association President & CEO Derek Miller and HomePage News Editor-in-Chief Peter Giannetti; a U.S. Legislation update from Tom Lee of BCLP Law; and a color trend forecast for cookware by Vanessa Peterson of PPG. The meeting concluded with updates from the CBA Engineering committee and its subcommittees: PFAS Advocacy & Education, Sustainability, Standards Review, as well as the Expertise, Education and Engagement committees. A new Engineering subcommittee is being formed to address Lead & Cadmium Advocacy & Education.
