Zulily is looking ahead with the introduction of an online back-to-school shop. The company also has rolled out a back-to-dorm shop featuring kitchen, bedroom, bath, beauty and study space categories.
Deals include savings applied at checkout every Friday at a proportion set to match the rate of inflation, according to Zulily.
Zulily cited Mastercard Spending pulse data saying that back-to-school spending will increase 7.5% this year as compared to last. Still, with inflation remaining a factor in budgeting this summer, Zulily stated that it is launching its Back-to-School Shop to provide parents value choices on essentials and unique items, including limited-time deals on name brands up to 70% off.
The back-to-school offering also includes Corkcicle stainless steel water bottles at $21.99, down from $34.95; a Teal & Gray three-portion snack container set of three for $9.99, down from $12.99; and a Sullivans Metal & Wood Four Drawer File Organizer for $85.99, down from $96.99.
Zulily has enlisted entrepreneur, mom of three and “The Bachelor” alum Catherine Giudici Lowe to share must-haves for the classroom return. Lowe’s back-to-school shopping list consists of items her kids love and teachers approve, Zulily maintained.
“Families everywhere are feeling the impact of inflation in their households, yet back-to-school shopping is necessary as kids grow and transition to a new grade,” said Denise Jaeschke, vice president of integrated customer marketing at Zulily. “In addition to our everyday deals, we wanted to do more to maximize mom’s savings and make her shopping experience as stress free as possible by reducing inflation impact.”
