After a period of speculation about its fate, Zulily posted a final sale notice on its website.
Qurate Retail sold Zulitly to investment firm Regent in May. The company has recently been subject to rumors since published reports of its laying off workers at its Seattle headquarters.
At the time of the purchase, Regent chairman Michael Reinstein stated, “We are excited to partner with the Zulily team to help the company return to its entrepreneurial roots as an independent business.”
Although no official statement on the retailer’s closing was evident, at the head of the Zulily home page is a notification stating: “Final Sale. All items must go. Place an order now, then additional orders ship free for the rest of the day.”
In the website Q&A, the returns heading comes over the statement: “Items ordered before 12/8/23 are eligible for return, subject to our return policy. All items ordered on or after 12/8/23 are final sale.”
A call to Regent to confirm the Zulily closing was not returned by press time.
