QVC Group, part of QVC Group, Inc., announced the appointment of digital media veteran Alex Wellen as its president and chief growth officer.
Wellen, who arrives at his new position with more than 20 years of experience in digital media, will report to David Rawlinson, president and CEO, QVC Group, Inc. Most recently, Wellen (pictured above) served as president and CEO of MotorTrend Group, and he also held senior leadership roles at Turner Broadcasting and CNN Worldwide, according to QVC Group.
In his new role, Wellen will define and lead QVC Group’s growth strategy in the United States, including social selling, streaming, digital for qvc.com and hsn.com, new business development and platform distribution. He will supervise a multifunctional team, introduce new capabilities into the organization and develop and execute plans to drive success and growth at QVC Group, according to the company.
