Wayfair’s Second Superstore Set To Open in 2026 in Atlanta

Wayfair has revealed the location of its second large-format namesake physical store set to open during 2026 in Atlanta.

The planned 150,000-square-foot Wayfair store in Atlanta (rendering pictured above) will become an immersive, one-stop shopping destination for furniture, home decor, housewares, appliances and home improvement essentials, the company stated.

The Atlanta location emerges as Wayfair’s second large-format store after the May 2024 debut of the first such operation in Wilmette, IL. Wayfair reported the Wilmette store has delivered strong results, contributing to sales from the state of Illinois growing more than 15% faster than overall revenue in the United States from the store launch through the end of 2024.

Physical stores bridge the gap between online and in-store convenience, Wayfair maintained. Shoppers will be able to buy and take home many of the products offered at the Atlanta store, while bigger items such as sofas will get quick delivery because of the Atlanta location’s proximity to Wayfair’s fulfillment center in McDonough, GA. The store will operate at 1801 Howell Mill Road NW at Howell Mill, an established shopping center in Atlanta’s thriving Upper Westside neighborhood, which is convenient to downtown and midtown Atlanta residents and consumers living in nearby suburbs such as Buckhead.

“At the heart of our retail strategy is our commitment to providing customers with a seamless shopping experience, whether online or in-store,” said Liza Lefkowski, Wayfair’s vice president of merchandising. “We are thrilled to bring this one-of-a-kind shopping experience to the Atlanta metro area. We will offer customers an extensive selection for all styles and budgets, with our vast catalog brought to life in an inspiring and easy-to-navigate shopping experience that makes discovering the perfect pieces effortless. The excitement around our first store in Wilmette exceeded expectations, from packed shopping carts in-store, to bus tours from neighboring states. It’s been incredible to see the enthusiasm for Wayfair in person, and we can’t wait to bring that same energy to Atlanta.”
