Wayfair’s luxury, designer-oriented banner Perigold is opening physical stores after operating exclusively online until now.
The West Palm Beach location is the first announced in a series of planned storefront openings set for 2025. By bringing products that are now available online to a brick-and-mortar environment, Wayfair hopes to create an easy shopping but upscale environment that serves individual and B2B consumers. Perigold stores will host events and partner with local businesses to establish and support community ties in a new and more personal way, Wayfair asserted.
As it follows on earlier Wayfair bricks and mortar launches, the stores will feature distinct environments throughout, curated by locally and nationally-recognized design partners, including Marie Flanigan, Jessica Davis, Helen Bergin and Julie Neill to provide style inspiration. The Perigold store offering will include products from more than 150 renowned design brands, such as Century, Vanguard, OLY, House of Rohl, Theodore Alexander, Visual Comfort, Stark Rugs and Scalamandre.
The West Palm Beach location will consist of some 30,000 square feet spread over two floors, incorporating an outdoor balcony overlooking CityPlace. Designed with high ceilings and an abundance of natural light, the store will have a sense of grandeur, Wayfair maintained. The ample space will allow Perigold to showcase the breadth of its assortment while leaving room for designers and clients to collaborate.
“Perigold is the destination for luxury home. Prior to our launch in 2017, consumers in particular had limited access to the best in home design,” says Rebecca Ginns, Global Head of Perigold. “No retailer was offering the breadth of categories, styles, and designer-loved brands that we have, all in one place. With this expansion, we are excited to increase access to our offering with physical store locations, where consumers and designers alike can see and experience the superior craftsmanship and materials of these amazing products in person.”
