In the pre-holiday period, Wayfair is organizing a second Way Day and has expanded its Shop Sustainably initiative to give consumers a way to find eco-friendly items.
Wayfair will begin its two-day, global Way Day holiday sales event on October 26 at midnight. The initiative also kicks off a savings spree throughout the holidays, the company noted, including during the sales season between Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
During Way Day itself, which takes place from October 26 to 27, Wayfair will introduce customers to discounts of up to 80% off items spanning furniture and decor, seasonal and housewares, the company stated. Customers can shop brands such as Kohler, Dyson, Rachael Ray, Henckels and Cuisinart on the main site and through its specialty operations AllModern, Birch Lane, Joss & Main and Wayfair Professional.
To get a jump on things, new Wayfair credit card members in the U.S. can receive $40 off their qualifying first purchase of $100 or more from October 19 to 27.
Shoppers can get a deeper look into Wayfair’s top deals for the holidays on Wayfair on Air, the home retailer’s video commerce experience available on the Wayfair App. There they can get expert advice from Albany Irvin, Danny Boome and Julianna White on Wayfair’s best deals offered during the Way Day event, offering tips on everything from finding the right gift to kitchen upgrades. Shoppers also can follow Wayfair on Instagram for special livestream events during the sales and even interact with home experts in real-time.
Meanwhile, Wayfair is building out its Shop Sustainably offering, which helps consumers connect with eco-friendly products that adhere to requirements of recognized third-party certifications. With more than 50 sustainability certifications to date, Wayfair offers the largest variety of third-party acknowledged eco-friendly products featured by a home retailer.
Shop Sustainably gives consumers access to more than 12,000 items across Wayfair’s family of brands by filtering for categories such as water-efficient, nontoxic, cruelty-free, fair trade and others.
Shop Sustainably products are labeled in the product description on the site to provide customers with information about product certification, according to Wayfair. The offering spans furnishings and appliances, including a multitude of furniture and building product-specific certifications such as LEVEL by BIFMA, FloorScore Green Squared, MAS Certified Green, and Indoor Advantage. Many of the certifications incorporated into Shop Sustainably qualify for building rating systems, including LEED v4.1, BREEAM, WELL Building, and Living Building Challenge, allowing homeowners and business professionals to shop Wayfair’s vast selection of third-party certified sustainable products for their home or business needs.
