As it grows its e-commerce business and prepares for the holidays, Walmart plans to hire 20,000 new associates across more than 250 Walmart and Sam’s Club distribution centers, fulfillment centers and transportation offices, according to the company.
It will hold hiring events on September 8 to 9 at all supply chain locations for positions including order fillers, freight handlers, lift drivers, technicians and management positions. The jobs available include both part-time and full-time permanent roles
Walmart pointed out that it is offering medical coverage starting at $30.50 per pay period in addition to maternity and paternal benefits, emotional well-being benefits, healthcare tailored to the LBGTQ+ community and veteran and military spouse support. New employees who get vaccinated before October 4, or who were already vaccinated prior to their hire date, receive the $150 cash field associate COVID-19 inoculation bonus offered to exist workers.
