A day after Amazon announced the timing of its Prime Day event, Target Corp. announced the return of its Target Deal Days sales event on July 11 to 13 with savings on hundreds of thousands of items and no membership fee requirement.
Amazon Prime Day runs from July 12 to 13.
The Target event encompasses three days, versus Prime Day’s, two with bargains across categories including home, food and beverage, electronics, beauty, apparel and toys, the company stated.
And, as is the case with Amazon, Target is touting pre-event deals on its website and app. It will add Deal of the Day bargains on an ongoing basis online and in the app, accessible to all consumers, the retailer noted. Then shoppers can stack savings by joining Target Circle, the retailer’s free loyalty program, and use their Target RedCard for an extra 5% off all Deal Days purchases. Shoppers also can use buy now pay later options from Sezzle and Affirm.
“We know guests look forward to Target Deal Days every year. With this year’s event being our biggest ever, guests can shop more incredible deals and items, with three full days to save on must-have products that will bring them joy all summer and beyond,” said Christina Hennington, Target executive vp and chief growth officer, in announcing the Deal Days launch. “From offering the most sought-after brands in retail and unparalleled savings to multiple, convenient fulfillment options within our nearly 2,000 stores, guests can shop Target with ease and confidence, knowing they are getting an incredible value.”
