Target will run its latest Circle Week promotion April 7-13 with up to 40% off thousands of spring items, a one-day-only 10%-off Target GiftCards deal. To promote, actor Kristen Wiig is reprising her Target Lady role from “Saturday Night Live,” the character’s first national advertising campaign.
Target’s Circle Week launches at 2 a.m. central time on Sunday, April 7, showcasing several deals:
- 40% off floor care
- 30% off outdoor living
- 30% off bedding and bath
- 30% off swim and sandals for the family
- 30% off tees, tanks, shorts and dresses for the family
- 30% off select toys
- 20% off all hair, nail and sun care
- 20% off breakfast favorites, coffee and cereal
In addition, Circle members who spend $50 on home care products and those who spend $50 with the company’s Ulta Beauty operation receive a $15 Target gift card.
In time for those looking toward events such as Mother’s Day and graduations, Target on April 13 will offer a 10%-off Target GiftCards deal for the first time during the spring season exclusively for Target Circle members.
The April promotion kicks off the retailer’s new Target Circle program, which offers three new membership options that can help members save even more during the event and beyond. Target will reintroduce its membership program on April 7. Although it will continue offering free membership, the retailer will introduce Target Circle 360, a new paid program tier providing unlimited access to same-day delivery with Shipt with no fees on orders over $35. Target Circle 360 membership costs $49 for the first year for consumers who sign up by May 18.
As part of the loyalty club change, Target is dropping the RedCard branding on its proprietary credit card, the company noted. The Target Circle Card, its new designation, will continue to save guests 5% on every transaction while giving holders extra time to make returns and free two-day shipping on hundreds of thousands of target.com products. The free membership, Target reported, will continue operating and dropping personalized deals, member-exclusive sales and additional perks and savings. Based on shopper feedback, Target will now apply deals automatically at checkout so that members no longer will have to search for individual offers. Members also can earn Target Circle Rewards and take advantage of personalized deals through Target Circle Bonuses.
To help celebrate the moment, Wiig’s Target Lady will share her excitement about Target Circle and Target Circle Week in a national advertising campaign kicking off on April 2. The Target Lady’s comeback is a one-of-a-kind creative campaign showcasing leaning into humor while making a point of how Target makes customers’ lives easier by saving them time and money, according to the retailer. From getting ready in her Target-infused house to spotting Target Circle Week deals during a dream sequence, Wiig, as the Target Lady, points to the many ways consumers can experience the benefits of Target Circle. Target collaborated with Wiig and former SNL writer Jameson Anderson to create the Target campaign. The Target Lady marketing campaign features 12 advertising spots to run across a range of media channels, including television, digital, video, social and target.com.
“We’ve spent a lot of time talking with guests about what they love about Target Circle, and we can’t wait for members to experience even more ease, savings and personal touches every time they shop,” said Cara Sylvester, Target executive vice president and chief guest experience officer. “We’re thrilled to launch Target Circle’s next chapter with Kristen Wiig as the Target Lady during Target Circle Week, and, since there’s no cost to join, all guests can save even more with their personalized deals.”
