As it warms up for the holidays, Target Corp. announced that it will offer members of its Target Circle loyalty program a week of discounts on everyday essentials, fall styles and holiday gifts, even as it gears up for new product introductions and entertainment tie-ins.
Consumers will find 20,000 new items — twice as many as last year — available with more than half exclusive to Target and thousands of gifts starting at just $5, the company maintained. From holiday decor, apparel and beauty to gifting and toys, consumers will find fresh, new options, with most items priced under $20, the company added.
In addition, Target noted that it is expanding next-day delivery to new markets, giving millions more consumers additional choices to receive their orders when they want them.
Target is using new technology to bring shoppers personalized deals in one convenient place, the company maintained. A new Target Deals page helps consumers explore customized offers and get a sneak peek at upcoming discounts.
For the fall, Target will be a premier retail destination for tie-ins with the fifth and final season of Netflix’s “Stranger Things,” stocking exclusive products across categories from home and apparel to toys and collectibles, the company indicated. Not only that, but Target is also partnering again with Universal Products and Experiences for the Universal Pictures film, “Wicked: For Good,” with new and exclusive merchandise, including beauty, drinkware, collectibles, themed fashion and toys.
“With our unmatched combination of great products and great prices, Target is making it possible for everyone to celebrate the holidays on a budget,” said Rick Gomez, the company’s executive vice president and chief commercial officer, in announcing the scheduled promotions. “This year, our holiday assortment features more new gifts than ever, from cozy, cashmere-like sweaters and faux fur blankets to the hottest toys and beauty items. With more than half of our assortment exclusive to Target, new items dropping every single week, incredible everyday pricing and weekly deals, we’re making it easy for consumers to celebrate the season memorably, without compromising on style or value.”
