Target Corp has joined the summer retail discount blitz by announcing what it calls its biggest sale of the season will run from July 7-13 as the mid-year edition of Target Circle Week.
Also, in another executive realignment by Target, the retailer announced several moves. Christina Hennington, currently chief growth officer, was promoted tof chief strategy and growth officer. Rick Gomez, currently chief food, essentials and beauty officer, becomes chief commercial officer, overseeing the company’s merchandising business. Lisa Roath, Target’s chief marketing officer, will become chief merchandising officer of food, essentials and beauty in early 2025. The company is initiating an external search for its next chief marketing officer and, until it names a successor, Roath will remain in that capacity.
Circle Week, meanwhile, will feature savings on summer and back-to-school essentials, Target noted. Members of the Target Circle loyalty program will enjoy deep discounts, personalized bonuses to put toward top summer finds, hot prices on everyday items and early savings on back-to-school and college merchandise, Target stated.
Circle Week discounts will include up to 40% off kitchen and floor care, including Keurig, KitchenAid, Ninja, Dyson, Shark and Bissell. In addition, Circle Week shoppers can get 30% off bedding and bath and a $15 Target GiftCard when spending $50 on home care products. Circle Week deals also include 30% off kids’ school uniforms and 30% off kids’ backpacks, as well as savings on school supplies, dorm essentials and related gear.
During Circle Week, consumers can sign up for a Target Circle 360 subscription — an upgrade from the free basic loyalty program that includes access to Target’s same-day delivery with Shipt with no delivery fees on orders over $35 — for just $49 for the first year, down from $99.
In addition, Target will again include Deal of the Day as part of Circle Week, with special one-day savings, the company inidicated.
