After extensive store closings after filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in 2020, Sur La Table, the leading kitchen and culinary retailer, announced that it will be expanding its footprint with new location openings throughout 2023.
Sur La Table will re-enter the communities of Glendale, WI, Canton, CT, and White Plains, NY, in the spring It also will open a new store in Stuyvesant Plaza in Albany, NY, this Summer.
Sur La Table provides a retail environment where consumers can immerse themselves in things culinary, including, in addition to food prep and related merchandise, a robust cooking class program, store events and demonstrations. Sur La Table intends to extend its product assortment and brand collaborations, the company noted, with fresh examples to launch throughout the year.
The company added that Sur La Table’s digital platform continues to broaden its omnichannel operation. In fall 2022, Sur La Table launched a new content center, Lid & Ladle by Sur La Table, that provides guided recipe videos, tips and tricks, and how-to’s where its customers can learn, create and gather ideas.
