As the back-to-school shopping season peaks, Staples is offering products for under $1 on select supplies that top teacher’s lists as well as fun, new prints kids will want to show off in the classroom, the company announced, even as it touts the benefit of using the Staples Connect app.
Hot products that are part of a back-to-school Trend Report by Staples this year include an exclusive line of back-to-school essentials in fun new nature-inspired patterns incorporating dinosaurs, mushrooms, flowers and pops of pastel, as well as products including Caboodles, Trapper Keepers and Jellies that provide kids and parents with an amusing nostalgic look back at decades past. The report also points to video game classics such as Super Mario and Sonic being popular motifs for backpacks, folders and other school suppliers even as it cites the importance of sustainable supplies that can include recycled notebooks, pens and pencils so that kids can pitch in to help the planet.
The Staples Connect app gives customers the chance to have their loyalty program rewards available in one place when they shop. Consumers who download can take advantage of a new wallet feature that offers special weekly app-exclusive deals, such as $10 off an in-store purchase of $50 or more.
Consumers also can sign up for Staples Classroom Rewards on back-to-school season in-store purchases. Those who do earn 10% back in Classroom Rewards purchases that they can pass on to a local teacher or school through September 24, plus up to 5% back in Staples Rewards. Consumers can create shopping lists in the app or search for a school supplies list, and they only need to tap the app to access any earned rewards and bonuses from purchases and ink recycling.
A partnership with TeacherLists gives parents access to certain school supply listings at staples.com/supplylist or through the Staples Connect app under the Lists tab.
