Ross Stores keeps building its business and has gone on another growth spurt, adding 28 stores to its operations.
The expansion includes the September and October openings of 18 Ross Dress for Less and 10 dd’s DISCOUNTS stores across 15 of the United States, the company stated. The recent store additions focused on the Midwest, although Ross did add stores in Florida, Georgia, Maryland, California, Arizona, Nevada and especially Texas. These new locations complete the company’s store growth schedule for fiscal 2021, which totaled 65 new locations.
“This fall, we continued to expand our Ross and dd’s footprints across our existing markets as well as in our newer states,” said Gregg McGillis, group executive vice president, property development, in announcing the store openings. “In addition to openings in California, Florida, and Texas, Ross strengthened its presence in Nebraska and Ohio while dd’s bolstered its store base in Illinois. Looking ahead, we remain confident in our expansion plans and continue to see plenty of opportunity to grow to at least 2,400 Ross Dress for Less and 600 dd’s DISCOUNTS locations over time.”
Together, Ross Dress for Less and dd’s DISCOUNTS operate 1,924 off-price apparel and home fashion stores in 40 states, the District of Columbia and Guam, the company noted.
