Retail is looking to further celebrate Latino culture in the United States as part of Hispanic Heritages Month with examples ranging from Neiman Marcus to Southeastern Grocers, to name just two.
Neiman Marcus stores will curate dedicated displays of Hispanic and Latino-founded designers and brands, which will be featured in windows across 14 select locations throughout the United States. Highlighted designers will include Oscar de la Renta, Gabriela Hearst, Carolina Herrera, Johanna Ortiz, Tata Harper, Manolo Blahnik, Narcisco Rodriquez, Paco Rabanne and more. Displays will feature products across categories in a family-friendly setting and showcase designer heritage and vibrant cultural prints to invoke creativity and inspiration.
As part of its Hispanic Heritage Month celebration, Southeast Grocers has announced a further expansion of its popular Latino-focused grocery store, Fresco y Más. In November, SEG will debut two new Florida Fresco y Más Florida locations in Deltona and Tampa to delight customers with a new, authentic Hispanic shopping experience catered to the tastes and preferences of their local communities, the company noted. Fresco y Más offers a wide range of Latino-oriented and general grocery products along with an array of housewares, including typically available items and specialties such as, recently, an Immusa 6.9-quart traditional Colombian Caldero.
Now through October 15, SEG also is observing Hispanic Heritage Month through celebrations planned by its Pa’lante group, the grocer’s Hispanic employee resource team. SEG workers will have the opportunity to participate in virtual cooking lessons to learn how to make authentic Paella and Arroz Imperial with their peers. Also, associates will join executive leaders for an afternoon Cafecito to gain insights on Hispanic shopping trends and virtually dance the night away with online Zumba and Salsa lessons.
