QVC Group has struck a strategic agreement to host 24/7 live TikTok shopping streams featuring its banners as the group extends operations beyond its traditional core television.
In addition to the TikTok site, consumers can join QVC Group live shopping streams on the TikTok app at any time. They also can access the TikTok livestream through a link on the QVC app.
QVC Group launched a TikTok Shop in August 2024, the company noted. Since then some 74,000 TikTok creators have featured products through their shoppable videos and livestreams on the app, QVC reported. QVC Group plans to expand its assortment of brands and products available via TikTok, which the company believes will help it connect with and get more exposure through more creators on the social media site. As part of the agreement, QVC group will launch original QVC and HSN content created for TikTok.
QVC Group pointed out that, across its video platforms, including QVC and HSN, the company produces more live shoppable content than any other producer, with more than 40,000 hours run per year. In doing so, QVC Group features more than 100 celebrity partnerships as well as the company’s own host/creators. It offers 400,000 products and ships over 200 million units a year to customers, the company asserted.
“We are uniquely suited to bring our large-scale, high-volume, live social shopping experience to TikTok, an extremely popular platform with over 170 million users,” said David Rawlinson, president and CEO, of QVC Group parent company QVC Group, Inc. “We are excited to share our powerhouse lineup of celebrities, hosts, brands and products in this interactive format. Our agreement will be a catalyst to transform shopping and discovery, not only for QVC Group and TikTok Shop, but also for social shopping at large.”
