Amazon Prime has teamed up with musician, actor and popular TikTok creator Jason Derulo for its debut on the platform.
Prime has embraced its late addition to the platform with a bio reading, “Quick to deliver, slow to TikTok,” and a debut video captioned, “Oh hey Tiktok. We’re new here. @JasonDerulo what did we miss?”
As the caption hints, in the video, Jason Derulo, who boasts 52.2 million followers on TikTok, walks the viewer through popular TikTok trends of the past few years while incorporating Amazon’s offerings. Beginning with the text, “POV: Prime just got to TikTok and asks you what they missed,” the video cycles through various trends while mentioning and showing Prime Delivery and Amazon Fresh.
According to TechCrunch.com, an Amazon Prime spokesperson said that Prime’s new TikTok channel will “streamline the brand voice into one cohesive social feed” and “cultivate its own social media foothold, to be followed with Instagram later this year.”
In the three days since its debut, Prime’s page has amassed 58.2K followers with its first TikTok video achieving 17.2 million views and 104.3K likes.
