In a rollout across all stores and the banner’s website, Pottery Barn is introducing a new collaboration with the home furnishings producer Kravet that will encompass tabletop, bedding, pillows, wall and window coverings and decorative accessories merchandise.
Products feature Kravet prints and patterns previously available only to the design trade, Pottery Barn noted. Founded in 1918, Kravet has a textile archive that includes more than 60,000 pieces with some examples dating back over 2,000 years, all preserved to museum-quality standards.
In collaboration, the Kravet and Pottery Barn design teams partnered closely in selecting prints from the archive that they recolored and reimagined to develop new fabrications, applications and products. The resulting assortment of prints and patterns, such as the Garden Floral, Arboretum, Heirloom Damask, Ikat, Petite Floral, Medallion and Meadow Stripe, showcase Kravet’s mastery of textile design as seen through the lens of Pottery Barn’s aesthetic, the Williams-Sonoma banner maintained. The designs enhance products intended to provide Pottery Barn customers with an offering that has a particular interior designer touch.
“We’re so proud of the one-of-a-kind pieces from the new Kravet and Pottery Barn collection,” says Pottery Barn president Monica Bhargava, announcing the collaboration. “This collection reinterprets their heirloom decorator prints in a way that feels fresh, timeless and beautifully suited for our customer’s home.”
