Dollar General’s “Fun Finds for Less” format pOpshelf is holding a chainwide customer appreciation event Saturday, October 19, at all locations in 21 states. The event coincides with the rollout by pOpshelf of a new store format, a loyalty program and a customer app.
To deliver more creativity to customers’ fingertips, the new pOpshelf app, available in the App store for iOS and Google Play for Android, allows users to nbrowse multiple seasonal décor ideas, find inspiration and discover crafts. The pOpshelf app also allows consumers to shop online then pick up purchases at a nearby store.
Meanwhile, pOpshelf perks is set to launch by the end of the year to provide customers with an updated loyalty program enabling shoppers to earn points and exclusive rewards. Accessible through the updated pOshelf app, customers will receive 10 points for each dollar spent and a $5 reward for every 1,000 points accumulated via the loyalty program. Exclusive perks also will include 15% birthday rewards and double points days. To help customers earn additional rewards, pOpshelf is providing 400 points when customers download the app, 400 points when they create accounts and 200 points when they complete their profiles.
The customer appreciation event will include 20% off coupons and complimentary product samples to the first 50 adult customers. Additional benefits may vary by store, pOpshelf indicated. Locations of pOpshelf stores can be found at https://www.popshelf.com/stores.

Vichidvongsa provided senior leaders of International Housewares Association member companies an update on the pOpShelf retail strategy and a preview of the new store format during the recent 2024 Chief Housewares Executive SuperSession (CHESS) in Rosemont, IL.
