ODP Advances Gen AI Customer Service Platform for Office Superstores

The ODP Corp. is enhancing its Generative AI technology across the company’s nationwide network of Office Depot and OfficeMax stores to enhance the customer experience.

The ODP Personal Assistant, an internally developed AI application, launched in February 2023 to employees across all business units. Based on early success, ODP determined to integrate comprehensive knowledge bases into the application to help associates obtain quick answers to common questions and enhance customer service.

Now, staffers can use Gen AI technology to access relevant internal information using natural language and get immediate responses, complete with citations for the information provided, the company noted. Quick access to essential data allows more time to engage customers while providing faster and more accurate responses, ODP added.
