In an expansion of delivery options, The Home Depot has struck deals with Uber Eats and DoorDash, the companies announced.
“Our stores are core to The Home Depot’s business, and expanding our e-commerce capabilities is a key part of our efforts to deliver a seamless interconnected shopping experience,” said Jordan Broggi, executive vice president of customer experience and president of online for the retailer. “By complementing our current same-day and next-day delivery services on homedepot.com with Uber Eats’ speedy and user-friendly platform, we’re offering more options to serve our customers however they prefer to shop.”
The deal between The Home Depot and DoorDash also covers 2,000 stores and provides on-demand delivery of home improvement essentials to the doorstep and worksite in as little as an hour. Consumers and pros can now purchase Home Depot products directly from the DoorDash app. Home goods are offered across categories, including Outdoor, Lawn & Garden, Organization, Appliances, Kitchen and Home Decor.
“Combining DoorDash’s fast and convenient platform with The Home Depot’s existing same-day and next-day delivery options, homedepot.com offers our customers even more flexibility and convenience to shop in the way that best suits their needs,” Broggi said. “This is one of the many ways we’re expanding our digital capabilities to create a seamless, interconnected shopping experience.”
