Meijer will open another of its supermarket-style retail operations in Noblesville, IN, the first the company has launched outside of Michigan.
“Meijer has been providing an exceptional shopping experience to customers across Indiana for 30 years, and the Meijer Grocery in Noblesville will further solidify our commitment to the Hoosier State,” said Travis Bernath, Noblesville Meijer Grocery store director, announcing the store opening. “We prioritize our customers’ time and ultimately developed this new streamlined grocery store format with convenience at the forefront. We’re eager to deliver that experience and great value to area customers later this summer.”
Although the grocery store concept is the company’s latest growth format, Meijer continues to open supercenter operations as part of its expansion strategy. On May 14, the company officially opened a 159,000-square-foot supercenter in Hillsdale, MI. Meanwhile, in Ohio on the same date, it welcomed shoppers to a pair of 159,000-square-foot supercenters, one in the town of Alliance and the other in the town of North Canton. The company also has developed and recently expanded on an urban-oriented neighborhood market format.
