In its back-to-school/back-to-college push, Macy’s is positioning itself as a one-stop destination including not only apparel and dorm-friendly home items but backpacks to help round out the offering.
Backpacks range from tie-dyed to licensed character items and include brands such as Steve Madden, Jansport and Jordan, the company said.
As for dorm rooms, Macy’s is throwing a spotlight on décor, organizational products, computer chairs, bedding and bathroom basics as well as kitchen and dining. Under the Back-To-College heading, Macy’s is offering a variety of housewares including kitchen electrics from Cuisinart, NutriBullet, Black & Decker, Crux, Tzumi, Bella and Ventray; cookware from T-Fal, Ninja, Sedona and Tools of the Trade; tabletop from Gibson Home, Pfaltzgraff, International Silver, Kitchinox, Tabletops Unlimited, Fortessa and The Cellar; and kitchen tools from Cuisinart and Zulay Kitchen. Organizational products include food storage items from mDesign, Sorbus, Pyrex (pictured above), Bentgo and LocknLock to complete an assortment that includes baskets, carts, caddies, behind-the-door storage and other products from labels such as Storagebud, Mega Casa and Dormify. Cleaning electrics and garment care come from Shark and Conair.
In the back-to-school/college season, Macy’s noted that consumers can take advantage of various promotions including Buy More, Save More events, Start Money Bonus Days, and the company’s One Dale Sale.
