Macy’s has rolled out Pattern Beauty, a brand created by producer and actor Tracee Ellis Ross, in an assortment that includes washes, treatments and styling tools.
With the launch, Macy’s becomes Pattern’s first department store partner. Products in the line expand Macy’s portfolio of hair care products, specifically in the curl category, the company noted.
“We are thrilled to begin our relationship with Pattern Beauty and honored to be their first department store partner,” said Nicolette Bosco, Macy’s vp of beauty, in announcing the rollout. “Tracee Ellis Ross and her brand empower everyone to celebrate their individuality, centered around the celebration of Black beauty and textured hair. Through our social purpose platform, Mission Every One, we are committed to amplifying diverse brands to create more choices for our customers. We are eager to expand our offerings in the curl category and continue our haircare evolution with Pattern’s range of products.”
The Pattern launch follows a Macy’s Black History Month initiative to promote and support diverse businesses such as the Harlem Candle Co., a luxury home fragrance brand by Teri Johnson, who has produced and hosted travel content before founding the company, specializing in scented candles inspired by the Harlem Jazz Age and the community’s legendary residents.
