Macy’s has named Prabhakar Iyer vp/treasury and corporate development effective immediately, the company announced.
He will oversee the treasury, insurance, corporate finance and development teams, and reports to Adrian Mitchell, Macy’s CFO.
Iyer joins Macy’s, Inc. from Wolverine Worldwide, where he was vp/finance and operations involved in financial planning and analysis, and supporting the financial needs of the company’s global operation. Prior to that, he held roles in General Motors finance operations for more than 16 years, Macy’s stated.
“I am pleased to welcome Prabhakar to the Macy’s, Inc. finance team,” said Mitchell, in announcing the hire. “Prabhakar has extensive experience across all aspects of finance, with a strong understanding of capital markets, cash management, foreign exchange, treasury operations, M&A and investor relations. I look forward to working with him as we continue to strengthen our balance sheet and evolve our capital allocation strategy.”
