Kroger has partnered with PackIt, known for its cooling technology in lunch bags, to use PackIt’s Fresh Freezable EcoFreeze Totes to keep curbside pickup and delivery orders fresh for customers.
The PackIt Fresh mobile refrigeration system was designed to create an efficient way for retailers to fulfill online grocery orders. The Fresh EcoFreeze totes are also collapsible, freezable and reusable, made to allow the retailer the ability to optimize online order fulfillment and provide a seamless plug-in for growing demands, said PackIt. Using patented EcoFreeze Technology with freezable gel built into the walls of the tote, the tote can keep perishable items cold and food-safe for 15 hours, states the company.
