With the year getting closer to the major retail holiday season bargain events and a November that has become a more intense promotional period each year, Kohl’s is spelling out how it will conduct its early season sales push including an emphasis on home merchandise.
Kohl’s is kicking off November with a Black Friday Early Access initiative that includes:

In addition, Kohl’s is planning what it calls Dashing Deal Days events from the beginning of November featuring bargains across gifting categories including toys, home, and active and casual apparel, the company indicated. Kohl’s will offer $10 off a $25 purchase on November 11 and 12, and $10 Kohl’s Cash for every $50 spent from Friday, November 11 to Saturday, November 17, and, from Friday, November 11 to Sunday, November 19, an extra 20% off purchases.
In an associated initiative, Kohl’s will provide 30% off in-store purchases for active and former military personnel, veterans and their families from Friday, November 11 to Sunday, November 13 with valid military ID. Kohl’s will introduce additional Dashing Deal Days in December, it pointed out.
The Kohl’s Black Friday Week savings event kicks off Sunday, November 20 and continues through Friday, November 25 with $15 Kohl’s Cash earned for every $50 spent and an extra 15% off purchases.
Beginning on Thursday, November 24, Kohl’s will offer what it calls Black Friday Steals online, as it closes stores on Thanksgiving, then in-store on November 25 with gift categories again emphasized including electronics. Then, on Saturday, November 26, Kohl’s will launch its Super Cyber Monday promotion, with special deals added on Cyber Monday, November 28.
Newness will be an important element in holiday promotions, Kohl’s stated, across categories including outdoor, beauty, smart home technology, toys, pet, and emerging brands. Kohl’s also plans to have freshness as an important quality in its core assortment of national and private label brands such as KitchenAid, Cuisinart, Nike, Under Armour, Adidas, Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein, Eddie Bauer, Lands’ End, Converse, Vans, Sonoma Goods for Life, SO, Apt. 9, Jumping Beans, and FLX.
Kohl’s noted that self-pickup is now available on eligible kohls.com orders at all of its more than 1,100 company stores across the United States.
“This holiday season, we’re meeting our customers where they are: wanting to shop early, and wanting to find deals on all of the top gifts and products of the season,” said Ron Murray, Kohl’s interim chief merchandising officer, in announcing the sales initiatives. “With our robust assortment of products and categories that lean into the areas where we’re really seeing our customers gravitate towards, such as outdoor, home, beauty, pet, toys and apparel, we’re confident that Kohl’s will be a key destination for all of their holiday needs.”
