Panos Panay is joining Amazon to lead the devices and services business when Dave Limp retires from Amazon later this year.
CEO Andy Jassy and Limp made the announcement to the company. Panay also will be joining the S-Team, the top leadership group at Amazon.
Panos was Microsoft’s executive vp and chief product officer, leading the Windows + Devices division. He will start at the end of October and report to Jassy. Limp will work with him over the next couple of months to ensure a smooth transition, Jassy noted.
