EBay has acquired 3PM Shield LLC, a provider of advanced AI-based marketplace compliance solutions, to enhance the e-tailer’s fraud monitoring solutions.
3PM Shield will provide new technology developed to prevent the sale of counterfeit items, unsafe products and illegal goods.
The acquisition is part of eBay’s commitment to provide sellers and buyers with a safe and trusted platform enabled by technology, the company noted. 3PM Shield enhances eBay’s ability to address suspicious or harmful seller behavior as well as deal with potentially problematic items.
