Dollar General Corp. appointed Tony Rogers senior vice president and chief marketing officer in one of several leadership moves by the retailer.
Prior to joining Dollar General, Rogers served as chief member officer at Sam’s Club, chief marketing officer at Walmart and, most recently, as chief marketing officer at Signet Jewelers. He will lead the development and execution of DG’s marketing, brand, media and personalization strategies across channels, including digital properties and the proprietary DG Media Network, the company noted.
“(Rogers’) proven ability to drive innovative personalized marketing strategies that enhance brand positioning, connect with consumers, and drive growth will elevate our customer engagement and support our key initiatives here at Dollar General,” stated Emily Taylor, Dollar General’s executive vice president and chief merchandising officer.
Dollar General reported several additional management move:
- Tim Bartlett transitioned to vice president, asset protection from division vice president.
- Matt Frame was promoted to division vice president, store operations from senior director.
- Retail veteran Natalie McConnell joined Dollar General as vice president, division merchandising manager.
- Jimmy Nguyen was promoted to vice president, division merchandise manager, health and beauty from senior director of merchandising.
- Kaushik Paul rejoined Dollar General as division vice president, store operations, with his previous positions at the retailer including regional director and division vice president roles.
- Brett Sorensen was promoted to division vice president, store operations from senior director, store operations.
