Dollar General is making changes in the executive suite across the business, including operations, administration and store leadership roles for its namesake and Popshelf banners.
Among the new appointments and promotions, according to Dollar General:
- Tom Hutchins (pictured left) joined DG as senior vice president, technology, overseeing the IT business integration and strategy and IT operations and services teams. Hutchins brings more than 25 years of experience in IT and retail at Fortune 500 companies, most recently at Tractor Supply.
- Kevin Pinchon (pictured middle) joined DG as senior vice president, distribution, supervising distribution center strategy and execution for facilities in Georgia, Mississippi, Missouri, North and South Carolina, Oklahoma, Texas and Virginia, and overseeing DG’s DC continuous improvement and quality and process control teams. He has held roles of increasing responsibility for wholesale and retail companies over his 20-plus-year career, including HG Supply.
- Misty Melton (pictured right) has joined the company as vice president, distribution, overseeing distribution centers in Indiana, New York, Ohio and Pennsylvania. She has 20 years of distribution and transportation expertise, including most recently at Lowe’s Cos.
- Shawn Bartels, formerly DG senior director of store operations, becomes division vice president, store operations, responsible for leading 10 regions across the Southeast.
- Brad Boll, who was a senior director on the DG Global Inventory Management team, becomes vice president, global inventory management, consumables, leading supply chain functions for the category, including inventory management, product fulfillment and demand planning.
- Lori Bremer, vice president, talent management and inclusion, takes on additional responsibilities as lead of DG’s culture of inclusivity function in addition to her ongoing oversight of talent acquisition, employment branding and corporate communications.
- Lee Buggs, formerly senior director, HR admin services, becomes vice president, HR operations with ongoing oversight of administrative services and new responsibilities for HR shared services.
- Jordan May, senior director, inventory strategy, becomes vice president, inventory planning and strategy where he will supervise the development and execution of inventory strategies, ensure alignment with organizational goals, and drive operational excellence to optimize supply chain and merchandising efficiency to meet customer demands.
- Shareeka Meadows, formerly DG vice president, DMM, apparel and stationery, has transitioned to vice president, division merchandise manager, pOpshelf, for which she will lead the merchandising strategy for the banner’s assortment, including on-trend seasonal and home décor and beauty must-haves.
- Chelsea Morris, who was DG senior director of international transportation, becomes vice president, transportation, where she will oversee domestic and international inbound operations.
- Tanner Owen, formerly senior director, strategy and corporate development, has become vice president, financial planning and analysis, strategy and corporate development responsible for the near-term and long-term financial planning and analysis of the company including refinement and development of business plans while supporting decisions to optimize company resources.
- Suman Pattnaik, who was senior director, engineering, merchandising and supply chain, has become vice president, IT engineering leading teams and managing vendor relations, risk assessment, budgeting and aligning strategies with the company’s broader business goals.
- Troy Simpson, formerly senior director of HR modernization, becomes vice president, corporate HR and modernization, heading up the development and execution of DG’s corporate human resources strategy and initiatives.
