Crate & Barrel has introduced its lookbook of the retailer’s latest home fashions for spring with the theme “California coastal.”
The theme is less traditional coastal than inspired by the casual cool vibe that the California coast generates, Crate & Barrel noted. The company pointed out, the theme suggests clean routines, airy designs and warm materials that can recharge the soul.
Among the trends that Crate & Barrel identifies is cooking with citrus, an approach it describes as bringing more zing to meal prep and making it more fresh and fun. Among the products it features are the Crate & Barrel Green Serrated Citrus Knife and, in yellow, the Crate & Barrel mini citrus juicer with cup, citrus squeezer with measuring cup, citrus reamer and Microplane grater/zester.
The lookbook highlights include exclusive Staub Eucalyptus heirloom-quality French cookware inclusive of a three baking dish set and a 5.5-quart Dutch oven.
A serene green shade, Mint, is one Crate & Barrel has adopted and one place it has applied the shade is beyond the wood handles of a whisk and various silicone kitchen tools, Other colors available are yellow, navy and orange. The lookbook also features a KitchenAid Artisan Series Steel Blue 5-quart Tilt-Head Stand Mixer with Mermaid Lace Ceramic Bowl.
The lookbook also introduces what Crate & Barrel calls the Italian table. The Sorrento collection offers servingware and tableware including a 28-inch platter and a 6-piece bowl set. In addition, the lookbook throws a spotlight on a collection of Le Creuset dinnerware. The sophisticated stoneware pieces in white, cream, chambray and ink include plates, bowls and mugs. Then, the new Cafe collection of hand-cast stoneware is hand dipped in the rich modern hues dark teal, spice orange, dessert taupe, cider burgundy and white, the company maintained. The Argila Dinnerware Collection complements the bowls.
Textiles include a collection dubbed The New Denim Project + Crate & Barrel, while furniture includes the modern Dahlia collection constructed as metal supporting natural wood.
