Crate & Barrel is introducing professional level design tools and services at its namesake and CB2 stores that will offer customers a free, “democratizing” design experience, the company announced.
Shoppers can access the tools and services through The Design Desk at Crate and CB2 Interiors. There they can find a personal designer who can meet with them in-store, at their homes or virtually.
Through the program, personal designers can provide:
- Photorealistic 3D renderings of a home space
- 360-degree walking tours of a space
- 2D floor plans and space planning
- Interior styling advice, including guidance for 100% new interiors or building on existing furnishings with color, pattern and other advice.
Personal designers can help work with consumer needs as they address home space, function and style.
In addition, through the services by Crate & Barrel and CB2, consumers can readily access self-service tools to create mood boards, measuring guides or free swatch ordering, and they can chat with a designer.
“There is nothing more rewarding than working with a customer through their design journey,” Crate & Barrel Holdings CEO Janet Hayes said. “We are thrilled about the new, professional-grade tools and services we have launched that are unparalleled in the marketplace. These tools, combined with the exceptional service of our team of highly trained stylists, make having a professionally designed interior 100% attainable to our entire customer base.”
