The initial store-within-a-store Conn’s pilot operations have opened in five Belk locations under the name Conn’s x Belk.
Conn’s continues to seek growth opportunities, as in its new location in Texarkana, AR, serving a market that includes Shreveport, LA., as Belk continues to look for new ways of building business
The Belk-hosted concept gives its customers access to Conn’s complementary home product categories, as well as differentiators such as white-glove, next-day delivery, the companies noted in a joint announcement.
Plans call for additional Conn’s x Belk operations to open throughout the summer and early fall along with an e-commerce experience that will launch at belk.com this fall. The Conn’s x Belk operations feature a name-brand assortment from all major Conn’s product categories including furniture, home electronics and appliances. The store-within-a-store format can range from 10,000 to 25,000 square feet depending on the Belk location. The first Conn’s X Belk operations are located in Knoxville, TN, Raleigh, NC, Charlotte, NC, Ridgeland, MS, and Charleston, SC, Belk stores.
