Ahead of what could be a vital holiday period for Big Lots after its recent Chapter 11 filing, the off-price retailer has relaunched Black Friday Fridays with one-day bargains on décor, gifts and other merchandise at up to 50% off now through December 6.
During the sales event, which reprises a past holiday promotional campaign by Big Lots, each week’s deal will be revealed on Thursday mornings, the company stated. The bargains will cross product categories and include holiday gift options and seasonal décor priced up to 50% off. Consumers who sign up for the retailer’s Big Rewards program, or are already members, will receive the bargain announcements via email or text.
“We know that many family budgets are stretched again this year, with some choosing to shop earlier than ever for items on their holiday lists,” said Bruce Thorn, Big Lots president and CEO. “Staying true to our reason for being, Big Lots is helping shoppers live big and save lots again this season by giving them a significant head start on some of our biggest Black Friday-level deals of the year. Returning bigger and better this year, Black Fridays at Big Lots will be can’t-miss bargain shopping events.”
