As the company prepares for its July supply events, Best Buy is rolling out its updated membership program, now in three three tiers designed for customers who want convenience, value and access, as well as protection and support.
Each of the My Best Buy Membership options — My Best Buy, My Best Buy Plus and My Best Buy Total — offers a specific set of benefits so customers can access to suit their technology needs, budget and lifestyle. My Best Buy Plus and My Best Buy Total members can expect more deals and deeper discounts during the company’s annual July Fourth Sale kicking off June 30, Best Buy noted.
Major appliances are a central focus of the sale. Outdoor living is represented by a Napoleon Rogue 425 Propane Gas Grill with Side Burner and Grill Cover for $874, down from $949. Small appliance bargains are on board at the same time, including the Nespresso Vertuo Plus Coffee and Espresso Maker by De’Longhi at $170.99, down from $199.99.
“These three tiers create the ultimate membership experience for our customers,” stated Patrick McGinnis, Best Buy senior vice president, memberships. “We took what our customers told us they value most with their technology and membership, which includes perks like exclusive access to deals and member-only prices, and used it to shape our three tiers with great benefits and more flexibility.”
In the updated membership program, Best Buy now offers these options:
- My Best Buy. The free existing membership plan for customers who want convenience and benefits such as free shipping with no minimum purchase.
- My Best Buy Plus. A membership plan priced at $49.99 per year and including exclusive member-only prices, access to sales, events and products and free two-day shipping with no minimum purchase.
- My Best Buy Total. The membership plan built for customers who want protection and support priced at $179.99 per year and including everything provided in My Best Buy Plus, plus Geek Squad 24/7 tech support and up to two years of product protection including AppleCare+ on most new Best Buy purchases.
