Best Buy is offering customers new membership options that give consumers more choice based on the price or level of benefits.
My Best Buy Memberships, as the package is entitled, includes a new program tier at a more affordable price that offers exclusive prices and access to highly anticipated product releases.
Best Buy memberships now include My Best Buy, My Best Buy Plus and My Best Buy Total, the company noted. Each membership tier has a different set of benefits, ranging from members-only pricing and deals, access to exclusive sales and events, to 24/7 tech support, product protection, and free shipping at different price points, allowing customers to choose an option that best fits the convenience, value, support and protection they want.
The memberships are:
- My Best Buy. The existing and free membership plan is built for customers who want convenience. My Best Buy includes free shipping with no minimum purchase, access to purchase history, online order tracking and up-to-date shipping info, and quick checkout and the ability to save items to an ongoing tech wish list of favorite products.
- My Best Buy Plus. At $49.99 a year, the new membership plan includes everything in My Best Buy as well as exclusive member-only prices on thousands of items, exclusive access to sales, events and highly anticipated products, free two-day shipping with no minimum purchase, extended 60-day return and exchange window on most products.
- My Best Buy Total. At $179.99 a year includes everything in My Best Buy Plus as well as Geek Squad 24/7/365 tech support for all participant tech, VIP priority support at any time and access to specially trained teams for advice, customer service and coordination via phone or chat, up to two years of product protection, including AppleCare+ Plus, on most new Best Buy purchases while a member, 20% off repairs, promotional service offers from time-to-time such as discounted in-home installation and haul away.
Current Totaltech members will continue to receive their existing membership benefits through their renewal dates.
