Best Buy is launching a new membership initiative that will include product and services benefits and act as an umbrella for existing programs including Geek Squad Tech Support.
The new Totaltech membership program has launched with a range of features including unlimited Geek Squad support, access to a 24/7 VIP service and special member pricing on products and services, Best Buy stated The launch comes on the heels of the Best Buy Beta pilot debuted during April in select markets, which looked at how the company could upgrade its membership initiatives.
The Totaltech membership cost is $199.99 per year and also includes perks such as free delivery and standard installation, 20% off labor for repairs and advanced services, 10% off labor for custom installations, extended 60-day return and exchange window on most merchandise and free haul-away on most product replacements.
During this holiday season, Totaltech members will receive exclusive access to various hard-to-find products and access to Member Monday special events that include exclusive deals.
Best Buy added that Member Monday also will feature exclusive deals for customers who are a part of the company’s free membership program, My Best Buy.
All current Best Buy Beta, Total Tech Support and Geek Squad Tech Support members get upgraded to Best Buy Totaltech membership automatically over the coming days, the retailer noted.
