Bed Bath & Beyond has kicked off its scheduled Open House event and to further entice consumers, it has launched a sweepstakes that gives winners a chance to update their homes, among other initiatives.
The Open House sweepstakes grand prize winner receives $5,000 in Bed Bath & Beyond eGift Cards and three-room designs by the retailer’s Decorist operation. Four first prize winners each get a $500 Bed Bath & Beyond eGift Card.
The sweepstakes, which Bed Bath & Beyond is promoting on its website and through other electronic vehicles including email blasts, is one in a series of Open House promotions the retailer has developed, which also include:
- A 20% deal on Owned Brands for shoppers on October 2 and 3 with further savings available for those using store mode on the Bed Bath & Beyond app, among other deals and giveaways including, the retailer indicated:
- A National Coffee Day Giveaway that offers customers who comment on the Bed, Bath & Beyond associated Facebook post through October 4 a chance to win one of 10 Nespresso Vertuo Next Premium Coffee & Espresso Makers by De’Longhi.
- A second National Coffee Day initiative that provides $20 off all Keurig machines through October 3.
- A Klarna sweepstakes, accepting entries through October 3, gives customers a chance to win one of 200 prizes including a $500 Bed Bath & Beyond Gift Card.
The cornerstone of the Open House event is the introduction of what Bad Bath & Beyond calls its Home, Happier Team, which the retailer is introducing to customers of its flagship store in New York City on October 2. Elsewhere, the team will make its introductions to consumers via social media in conjunction with a week-long Open House event. The team is Bed, Bath & Beyond’s first curated advisory panel of industry experts, and they include culinary personality Katie Lee Biegel, interior designer Jeremiah Brent, storage and organization expert Eryn Donaldson and sleep wellness specialist, Dr. Shelby Harris.
Consumers everywhere can access the team’s tips and tricks across Bed Bath & Beyond’s social platforms, and the retailer stated that it would provide content from the team at pivotal seasonal shopping moments going forward through the year. Open House events scheduled at stores across the United States will invite customers to check out exclusive deals, the new family of Bed Bath & Beyond-owned brands, better in-store shopping experiences with improved store layouts, and in-store digital shopping tools available through the retailer’s mobile app. They also will call attention to omnichannel services, including buy online pick up in-store, contactless curbside pickup and same-day delivery services.
