In a project designed to aid challenged consumers in developing their households, Bed Bath & Beyond and Rebuilding Together, a nonprofit organization dedicated to ensuring safe and healthy homes and communities, announced a partnership to provide no-cost home repairs and essential household items for people in need.
Rebuilding Together pointed out that the initiative with Bed Bath & Beyond is part of the retailer’s ongoing effort to help provide a sense of home for the people and communities it serves. Along with providing critical home repairs to improve safety and better accessibility, Bed Bath & Beyond is donating household items including kitchenware and tabletop, bedding, bathroom towels, home décor and wellness items to help with homeowner needs.
The retailer will support more than 25 projects nationwide this year so that people across the country can receive quality critical home repairs at no cost, allowing them to remain safe and healthy in their homes. Employees from local Bed Bath & Beyond, buybuy BABY, Harmon Face Values and Decorist operations will contribute to those projects as well.
“We believe now more than ever that creating a sense of home is critical for the well-being of both individuals and the communities we serve,” said Mark Tritton, Bed Bath & Beyond president and CEO. “By joining forces with Rebuilding Together to invest in revitalizing homes across the country, we can support homeowners in need and enable our associates to create an impact where they live and work.”
