As for delivery services, Shipt is positioning itself as a last-minute shopping “accomplice” because holiday shoppers can place orders for delivery, whether to themselves or to friends and family across the country, right up through Christmas Eve. Shipt pointed out that its order deadline is more than a week later than traditional carrier holiday shipping deadlines. For truly last-minute shoppers, Shipt provides a final delivery window of 5 to 6 p.m. local time on orders placed that afternoon.
With supply chain and shipping challenges affecting the United States, Shipt maintained that it is working closely with retailers to maintain the most up-to-date inventories, so when shoppers add items to their carts that are low in stock, they are prompted to select a backup item. Shipt asserted that it has experienced a 90% plus success rate in securing backup items.
