Uber Technologies has struck up a partnership with Bed Bath & Beyond and buybuy BABY to expand the retailers’ delivery options and help launch a new baby and kids vertical in the Uber Eats app, one that enables delivery of essential baby and home products from some 120 buybuy BABY and more than 750 Bed Bath & Beyond locations across the United States.
The deal with Bed Bath & Beyond follows on an Uber Eats partnership with Rite Aid to provide delivery of healthcare, grocery and general merchandise items.
At its core, the new hub serves parents, making it easier for them to get all of their baby, kids and family essentials on-demand and delivered to their doors, Uber noted in announcing the partnership. However, the broad catalog of products ready for delivery can help serve a wide range of family domestic needs, Uber pointed out.
The new baby and kids hub on Uber Eats includes brands such as Honest, Yumi, Lalo, Little Spoon and Nyssa in addition to buybuy BABY, providing a quick and stress-free way to get all needs on-demand. Through November 11, Uber customers get $20 off an order of $60 or more from Bed Bath & Beyond, buybuy BABY, Honest, Yumi or Little Spoon.
In commenting on the announcement Rafeh Masood, Bed Bath & Beyond chief digital and interim chief brand officer, said, “We are rebuilding our authority in the home and baby retail categories to appeal to new consumers while strengthening relationships with our valued, long-standing customers. This partnership with Uber is a terrific way we are reaching new customers and the fact that buybuy BABY was chosen to help launch Uber’s baby and kids delivery vertical reflects the brand’s leadership in welcoming customers to parenthood. We are excited to begin this journey with Uber and look forward to having their innovative services market and deliver products from Bed Bath & Beyond and buybuy BABY right to customers’ doorsteps.”
