At Home has launched an exclusive collection with Emmy Award-winning TV host, designer and author Ty Pennington that includes hundreds of items including furniture, home accents, wall art, textiles, rugs, lighting, and kitchen and dining items for as little as $4.99.
The company already has about 100 Pennington items on its website, and the collection’s homepage graphic, beside the introductory one on the topside revolver, is next to that of fellow At Home partner, Laila Ali, under the banner Designer Looks for Less. The graphics identify Pennington’s collection as farmhouse and Ali’s as modern in design terms. At Home also offers collections in partnership with HGTV notable Grace Mitchell, identified with traditional styles, and London fashion designer Tracey Boyd, identified with Boho looks.
Pennington worked with the At Home creative team to develop a collection that reflected his personal style, the retailer pointed out, which combines Scandinavian farmhouse looks with cottage, coastal and even some mid-century modern influences in a handsome but casual blend. At Home noted that Pennington worked with both the company’s creative and merchant teams to source soft wood grain and natural fiber materials. Color schemes in the items thus far revealed lean toward gentle whites, seaside blues and bleached wood tones, and, so lend the collection a sunny simplicity, as At Home characterized it. The assortment includes indoor and outdoor home décor items enhanced by frosted sea glass and cabana stripes, as well as pillows and art with coral, shells, seaweed and sea life motifs.
“Ty’s down-to-earth designs feel more timeless than trendy, showcasing his love for natural materials and careful craftsmanship,” Chad Stauffer, At Home president and chief merchandising and product officer, said in announcing the new collection. “Each piece ends up feeling like it’s one-of-a-kind, while his unique style lends the collection a visual consistency that’s ready-made to mix and match. Best of all, our customers can get this effortless look at amazing price points.”
