Amazon at the Accelerate Conference detailed a new range of seller services offered to participants and would be participants on its platform.
Amazon has increased its range of seller services as it has lately sought closer relationships with its partners in sales and marketing and distribution.
Among the service and support initiatives discussed, as Amazon characterized them:
The Amazon Brand Referral Bonus: A benefit for directing non-Amazon marketing traffic from a seller website or other websites to Amazon that totals 10% of the purchase price of the promoted product and any of the brand’s other products that a customer purchases over the following two weeks.
The Amazon Customer Engagement Tool: Sellers can easily launch email marketing campaigns through rich visual imagery and more seamlessly connect shoppers with their other products.
The Customer Review Resolution Tool: Sellers can get enhanced customer service when they identify a frustrated customer who leaves a negative product review. The tool is intended to help brands build stronger connections to their customers through additional support and a courtesy refund if a customer is unhappy with the product and leaves a negative review.
Amazon said sellers have added 100,000 brands to Amazon’s store in the United States so far this year, with sales by brands up 60% year over year for the 12-month period ending June 30.
