Amazon will hold its annual Prime Day event from July 11 at 3 a.m. eastern time in the United States through July 12.
Amazon stated its Prime members will get exclusive access to Amazon’s lowest prices this year on designated products. New deals will drop every 30 minutes during select periods throughout Prime Day, with deep discounts on top products from popular brands.
This year’s Prime Day shoppers in the United States will see more deals on small business products, as well, Amazon reported.
Prime Day will also work as a back-to-school and off-to-college promotion, Amazon said, and the promotion will feature shopping guides offering thousands of discounted products for parents, students and teachers.
From now through the event period, U.S. Prime members can shop deals directly with designated brands using Buy with Prime. In addition, members can get a $200 Amazon Gift Card instantly upon approval for Prime Visa, the company indicated.
Early-access Prime Day deals have begun on select Amazon devices and products from brands, such as Ruggable and Quip. Also offered on amazon.com/primedaysmallbusiness. are items from small businesses, including Madison Reed, Balanced Tiger and AllKem Beauty; Black-owned, women-owned and military family-owned brands; and independent artisans.
Promotions for Prime Day will include input from influencers Marianna Hewitt, Whitney Port, Tayshia Adams and Rocky Barnes, who will curate early deals on their Amazon storefronts and provide exclusive promo codes across a range of brands. An Inspire Tab in the Amazon Shopping app, which will come in the form of a lightbulb icon on the navigation bar, will signal influencer picks. Prime members also can tune into livestreams hosted by celebrities such as Lola Tung, Christopher Briney and Gavin Casalegno.
In a new invite-only deals initiative, Prime members can request an invitation to get Prime Day’s deals for which Amazon expects sellouts, including 50% off the Foreo Luna 3 Facial Cleansing Brush. Amazon will notify selected members during Prime Day with instructions on how to purchase the items at the exclusive discount prices.
In addition, Prime members can subscribe to receive deal alert notifications based on their recent Amazon searches and recently viewed items. Shoppers can open the Prime Day event page on the Amazon Shopping app between now and Prime Day to create deal alerts. When Prime Day arrives, members will receive push notifications on available deals. Prime members also can ask Amazon Alexa for deal notifications on products added to their Wish List, Cart or Save for Later.
