As the Prime Big Deal Days event approaches, Amazon unveiled a range of discounts it plans for the promotional event across categories, including home, electronics, seasonal, travel, apparel and health and beauty care.
While detailing its early holiday season bargain push, Amazon announced plans to hire 250,000 full-time, part-time and seasonal roles across the company’s customer fulfillment and transportation operations in the United States. The company added that all seasonal employees will earn at least $18 per hour and have access to benefits such as health care from the first day on the job.
The Prime Big Deal Sneak Peak, as Amazon bills it, identifies key brands the company plans to discount including Dyson, New Balance, Disney, LEGO and Barbie. The company also plans to offer deals on Amazon-exclusive products from brands including Beats, Conair and Casper as part of the promotional event for Prime loyalty program members.
In addition to the product discounts, Amazon is touting the various means it’s providing for holiday shopping, spotlighting Rufus, its conversational shopping assistant designed to help customers navigate questions and recommendations on gifts, holiday décor and seasonal apparel. Consumers can also browse shoppable customer videos and photos as well as those from influencers and brands using Amazon Inspire, the company’s new personalized shopping app. Consumers can also tap Find on Amazon to quickly track down items spotted online with the Amazon Shopping app.
Prime Big Deal Days special offers will include Amazon stated:
- Save up to 55% on select cookware from Staub.
- Save up to 45% on Philips Sonicare power toothbrushes and power flossers.
- Save up to 45% on Ego Power+ products, including Leaf and Snow Blowers.
- Save up to 40% on select vacuums and home essentials from Dyson.
- Save up to 40% on luggage from Samsonite, American Tourister and Travelers Choice.
- Save up to 30% on select pet products from Voyager, Aerolite, GigaByte and Best Pet Supplies.
- Save up to 25% on select Casper Pillows and Toppers and Lucid Toppers.
- Save 20% on select home appliances and cookware from GE Profile and Caraway Home.
- Save 20% on previously loved designer items from What Goes Around Comes Around up to $1,000.
- Save on trending clothing from brands like ShaperX, The Gym People, and Sojos sunglasses.
Amazon also will offer a range of deals for under $5 in gifting and other product categories.
Amazon is emphasizing Big Deal Days participation by its independent marketplace sellers, many of which are medium and small businesses. Planned sellers’ bargains include up to 50% off select luxury skincare products and devices from Glo24K, 35% off select vitamin products from Hum Nutrition, 30% off select festive clothing from Tipsy Elves, 20% off select skincare products from Topicals and oral care products from Burst. Consumers who want to support small businesses can check out deals dropping throughout the Big Deal Days event at amazon.com/smallbusinessdeals. Consumers can also filter for unique small business gifts via Amazon’s search engine or shop the small business store in Amazon’s Holiday Shop.
