For Prime Day, Amazon revealed it will give its loyalty program members exclusive access to shop more than five million deals, including big discounts on top housewares brands.
The Prime Day event kicks off on July 16 at 12:01 a.m. Pacific time, running for 48 hours with bargains across more than 35 categories including home, electronics, beauty, and apparel, the company noted.
Deals include, according to Amazon:
- Up to 50% off home care appliances from Dyson, Shark and Bissell.
- Up to 50% on Keurig coffee brewers.
- Up to 35% on select kitchen appliances from Vitamix.
- Up to 40% on campus essentials from Amazon Basics and Amazon Essentials.
In addition, Prime members can save 45% off on iRobot Roomba vacuums, mops and combos, and they can access deals on celebrity brands such as Martha Stewart, Paris Hilton, and Below 60 by Hilary Duff. Amazon will drop new deals as often as every five minutes during select periods throughout the event, the company pointed out.
Amazon is integrating back-to-school/college bargains into the Prime Day promotion. The company has established Back-to-School and Off-to-College guides that can help consumers shop school needs, as well as dorm items under $10, decor pieces and student laptops.
Amazon also is making it easier for Prime members to find bargains from small businesses operating on its marketplace by providing a steady stream of new deal drops throughout the event. Amazon maintained Prime members in the U.S. can shop more small business deals than during any past Prime Day promotion. Members can identify small businesses by looking out for on-site Small Business badges. They can explore amazon.com/supportsmall to shop products from Black-, women-, military family-, Hispanic- AANHPI- and LGBTQIA-owned businesses.
